Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday! Still to be confirmed but we raised over $10,000 to support local victims and their families and to continue awareness and education about the dangers of impaired driving.

MADD Ottawa is pleased to present our 7th annual MADD DASH/Strides for Change public awareness and fundraising event, taking place Sunday October 19, 2014. A 10km and 5km run, and 5km walk in support of the fight against impaired driving.

Every day, on average, 4 Canadians are killed and 174 are injured in impairment-related crashes. We estimate between 1,250 and 1,500 people are killed and more than 63,000 are injured each year in Canada in impairment-related crashes.

Every step taken and pledge collected will help raise much needed funds and heighten awareness of MADD Ottawa's vital programs and services. The funds raised will be put to good use in local MADD Ottawa educational and support programs and assist us in our mission "to stop impaired driving and to support victims of this violent crime".
